About Our Speakers
Utkarsh Patel is a corporate-professional-turned-mythologist and now the author of “Shakuntala – The Woman Wronged”, published by Rupa Publications, and “Satyavati”, published by Kautilya Books, and “Kannaki’s Anklet”, published by Indus Source. He is a lecturer of Comparative Mythology at the University of Mumbai and has qualifications in Mythology, both Indian and World from Mumbai University. He has been writing a Blog, ‘This is Utkarsh Speaking’ (www.utkarshspeak.blogspot.com) for close to a decade now, and is a founder member of ‘The Mythology Project’ (www.themythologyproject.com), an online archive of traditional tales

Arundhuti Dasgupta, Writer, columnist and editor, Arundhuti has spent over two decades as a business journalist with several financial newspapers in India. The maximum amount of her experience has been gathered at Business Standard, where she worked as an Associate Editor looking after a daily section on the business of advertising, branding and marketing. She was also a columnist for the paper, writing regularly on the intersection of myth, politics and culture in her column Mythic Mantra. She has co-authored two books which have been published by Penguin and
Puffin India. The books are called The Weretiger: Stories of the Supernatural (released in the year 2002) and Spooked: Stories of the Supernatural (released in the year 2004) and are a collection of original stories about ghosts, magic and mystery.
