Dr. Manjiri Bhalerao

Dr Manjiri Bhalerao completed her M.A. in ancient Indian history, culture and archaeology from Pune's Deccan College. She subsequently cleared the UGC NET exam in the first attempt and secured the Junior Research Fellowship as well as the Senior Research Fellowship for her PhD research. She initiated her PhD research on the topic 'Buddhist Caves at Nasik An Analytical Study', under the guidance of Deccan College's Dr Sheela Mishra and Dr Arvind Jamkhedkar. She has taught Marathi to American students at the American Institute of Indian Studies and has worked as an assistant professor and later as associate professor at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth's Shri Balmukund Lohiya Sanskrit and Indian Sciences Study Center. Dr Bhalerao has presented research papers at several national and international conferences on topics ranging from ancient Indian arts and architecture, epigraphy, numismatics, Buddhist Studies, iconography, and ancient Indian literature.
