About the course
Mention Sanskrit today and you immediately think of tables to memorize blindly or religious verses. But did you know it is a language of scandal, of comedy, of romance, of cunning statecraft, of suspense and intrigue, of stories of kings and of moral conundrums that can keep you up at night?

Would you like to read of the frank desires of women in Hala’s Saptaśati (which was often read clandestinely) or a comic farce about a princess from Sri Lanka who falls in love with an Indian king? Learn how to convince a cloud to carry a message to your wife? If you want to advise rulers, read the Arthaśāstra, whose maximum tax rate of 16% will delight anyone. If you like page turning thrillers, the Tale of Ten Princes (Daśakumāracarita) is for you. If you like the Vikram-Vetal stories, read them in the original. If you would like to learn grammar while understanding history, sociology of its application, read, discuss and understand the Subhashitas in chaste Sanskrit on your own (without the help of a translation).

You will understand this when you learn Sanskrit the INSTUCEN way. It will help you explore the language of the ancient men that encompasses and goes beyond the mystic philosophies, religious tomes, treatises of warfare, and ornate poetry.

Learn Sanskrit the INSTUCEN way to perceive the most celebrated, most ancient classical Indo-Aryan language in a rational, human way.
