Dr. Oishi Roy is an Assistant Archaeologist at Bihar Heritage Development Society, Patna. She has worked on varied topics ranging from Archaeometallurgy and Ethno Archaeology. Her main area of interest is Ancient Iron Technology and the societal formation as reflected through its material assemblage. She has excavated sites ranging from prehistory to the Early Medieval period and presently she is a member of the excavation team working at the site of Telhara, Nalanda District. She has worked extensively with the Gond tribe of Gadchiroli district, Maharashtra.
