Dr. Kanad Sinha is Assistant Professor of Ancient Indian abs World History in the Sanskrit College and University, Kolkata, established in 1824. His primary area of interest is the intellectual and socio-cultural history of early India, with special focus on early Indian historical traditions. His published works include 'From Dasarajna to Kuruksetra: Making of a Historical Tradition', OUP, 2021, and 'State, Power and Legitimacy: The Gupta Kingdom' (co-edited with Kunal Chakrabarti), Primus, 2018.
